Awake!

Awake! was inspired by my passion for Ancient Egypt, the Mansion of the East is where the sun rises and so is a place of beginnings and rebirth.  The mansion of the West is where the sun sets and is a place of endings and death.

Awake!

The Temple of the Sun, once more awakes,
Eternal mansion of the East, O Golden One
Your temple arouses, calls thee forth,
Behold the endless festival, awake! Rise up!

Force and fire, your priestess evokes,
Your temple lights up, illuminated,
The eye glistening, awake, rise up!
Incense and Cinnamon, in votive offering,
Perfumes your journey, endure forever!

Monuments and memories, cold hard stone,
Red sands cover your name, faded and worn,
Your songs forgotten, your temple silent,
Sleep in calm tranquility, undisturbed,
The mansion of the West, lies in peace.

In a timeless place, in still darkness,
The fire is sparked, bright as silver,
The incense is ignited, awake, rise up!
Your Priestess chants, songs to your glory,
May your shadow grow less, awake!

I am She who calls Thee forth,
Awake! Rise up once more.
