On 12th October 1875 the birth of Aleister Crowley, born Edward Alexander Crowley (died 1 December 1947), was a British occultist He was an influential member of several occult organizations, including the Golden Dawn, and Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.) and is best known today for his occult writings, especially The Book of the Law, the central sacred text of Thelema. He gained much notoriety during his lifetime, and was dubbed The Wickedest Man In the World.

On 14th October 1927 the birth of Patricia Crowther, she is considered influential in the early promotion of the Wicca religion. She was born in Sheffield as Patricia Dawson.  She was initiated into Wicca by Gerald Gardner in 1960 and is one of the "early mothers" of this religion.
