As summer slowly slips away, the Sun God starts to pale. Nature's bounty reveals itself, in crown's of golden hues, and all bear
witness to the coming of the Dark Goddess.
The Dying Sun King.
Harken all, hear these words.
For behold our Father, the Sun King is dying,
And all of Nature is in mourning.
From the skies the Earth is weeping,
Out of the North, dark clouds are flowing.
Across the land, chill winds are blowing,
In cool autumn mornings, winter comes calling.
Harken all, and heed these warnings,
The realm of the Dark Goddess is coming.
Earth spirits decked in gold,
Bow down as the year gets old.
Witness the fury of winter to behold.
Sky spirits, oh travelers bold,
Flee south as the day turns cold,
Before winter's grip takes hold.
Across Earth's great mantle, its bounties untold,
John Barleycorn comes calling, to avoid the cold,
As the Winter Maiden's dance unfolds.
